China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited (0916.HK), a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation Limited, engages primarily in the development, construction, management, and operation of wind power, photovoltaic power, and other renewable energy projects; it generates and sells electricity from these facilities to power grid companies and undertakes coal trading, power equipment manufacturing, and consulting, maintenance, and training services for renewable plants. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Beijing, China, the company operates across 32 provinces and cities in China as well as in Canada, South Africa, Ukraine, and other regions under the Belt and Road Initiative, with segments including Wind Power, PV Power, Coal Power, and All Others encompassing tidal, biomass, and geothermal projects. As of December 2024, its new energy installed capacity surpasses 40 gigawatts (GW), including key recent grid connections such as the 450-megawatt photovoltaic project in Golmud, Qinghai; the 390-megawatt integrated wind power project in Guangxi; and the 45-megawatt wind power project in Xiaowangzhuang, Tianjin; in June 2024, it launched the world's first floating platform integrating wind power generation with aquaculture called Guoneng Sharing. Recent developments include a July 2024 asset injection of 4 GW of renewable capacity from its parent China Energy as part of a 20 GW plan through 2028; the divestment of its 1.2 GW coal power project and planned sale of remaining 660-megawatt coal capacity in 2024 to focus on renewables; an October 2025 announcement of a private placement to raise CNY 5 billion through issuance of A shares; and a November 2025 transfer of 60% equity in United Power to CHN Energy New Energy, resulting in cessation of its interest in the entity.
