The company earned recognition as the Best Performing U.S. Public Bank with more than $10 billion in assets by S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2024, reflecting strong financial health amid its operations in north, south, central, and southeast Texas and Oklahoma. It maintains non-banking subsidiaries for charitable activities, investments, and merchant banking, including fifty-percent stakes in Gulfstar Group entities for investment banking and controlling interests in merchant banking vehicles.
