Business
PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA.JK) operates as an integrated agribusiness and food company in Indonesia, focusing on animal feed production, poultry breeding and commercial farming, aquaculture, beef cattle farming, and consumer product processing. The company manufactures premium poultry feed, aquaculture feed, day-old chicks (DOC) for broilers, layers and pullets under brands such as Comfeed and Benefeed; live broilers, processed chicken products including Best Chicken and Tora-Tora; beef cattle breeding, fattening, slaughtering and value-added meat such as Tokusen Wagyu Beef; shrimp and fish hatchery, grow-out farming, seafood processing, and eels; as well as animal health products like Vaqsimune vaccines, farm supplies, livestock equipment, and technical support services. It serves poultry farmers, commercial farms, aquaculture operators, beef producers, B2B clients and B2C consumers through its upstream-to-downstream operations, with products marketed primarily in Indonesia and select exports to Asia, Europe and the United States. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk functions as a subsidiary of Japfa Ltd, which is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, and maintains listings on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since 1989. Its key subsidiaries include PT Suri Tani Pemuka for integrated aquaculture since 1987, PT Santosa Agrindo (Santori) for beef cattle operations, and Japfa Food for downstream consumer goods. The company operates extensive feed mills, hatcheries, farms, slaughterhouses and processing facilities across Indonesia, positioning it as one of the largest players in the domestic poultry solutions, aquaculture and beef sectors. In recent developments, the company expanded animal feed capacity in Makassar, developed aquaculture feed production in Lamongan, and strengthened downstream integration via a new poultry slaughterhouse in Pemalang during 2025 to bolster its national market position. It reported revenue growth of 4.4% year-over-year to IDR43.1 trillion and net profit growth of 17.3% to IDR2.63 trillion for the first nine months of 2025, driven by sales increases across all segments particularly in poultry processing and consumer products. Additional initiatives include partnerships such as with PKGK UI and Edufarmers Foundation for child nutrition studies in 2024, a breakthrough in tropical eel reproduction by its Aquaculture Research Center, and vaccination programs against foot-and-mouth disease by Santori in early 2025.
