PT Suparma Tbk is an Indonesia-based manufacturer specializing in the production and sale of paper and tissue products. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Surabaya, the company operates in the pulp and paper industry with a product portfolio that includes industrial papers, fine papers, laminated wrapping papers, brown kraft papers, white papers, sandwiched ribbed kraft recycled papers, carton papers, as well as a wide range of tissue products such as facial tissues, bathroom tissues, napkins, hand towels, kitchen towels, handkerchief tissues, cocktail napkins, luncheon napkins, jumbo rolls, and carrier tissues. PT Suparma supports the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) mission by producing FSC-certified products from virgin pulp and recycled fibers and serves both national and international markets. The company's production infrastructure includes nine paper machines with a combined installed capacity of approximately 230,000 tons per year. Recent strategic developments include a significant investment in expanding tissue production capacity through a partnership with Valmet, which is delivering an IntelliTissue 1600 tissue machine to its Surabaya mill. This installation, planned for start-up in 2026, will increase the company's tissue paper production capacity by an additional 26,500 tons annually, targeting the Asia Pacific market. PT Suparma continues to focus on sustainable production practices, environmental management systems, and social responsibility programs. Operational growth is evidenced by increased sales and production volume in 2025, supported by enhanced factory utilization rates. The company actively engages in community and environmental initiatives, including mangrove ecosystem restoration and other Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts designed to balance business growth with social and environmental stewardship. Overall, PT Suparma Tbk operates through a well-established network within Indonesia and the wider Asia Pacific region, leveraging modern production technologies and sustainability certifications to maintain its position as one of the leading paper and tissue manufacturers in the region. The recent expansion through the Valmet tissue production line underscores its commitment to growing capacity and enhancing product quality in response to market demand. The company maintains recognized management systems including Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Chain of Custody, and Verification of Timber Legality as part of its governance framework. PT Suparma’s business strategy emphasizes sustainable growth aligned with the environmental and social governance principles demanded by its stakeholders.
