Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates as a key supplier to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers across the automotive, electric vehicle, construction, electronics, and industrial machinery sectors. YM Co., Ltd. provides a comprehensive portfolio of fastening solutions organized into specialized product lines: electric vehicle (EV) and powertrain fasteners, including battery pack shoulder bolts, motor mounting bolts, rotor shafts, cylinder head bolts, and transmission plugs; chassis, steering, and suspension components, including cam bolts, ball studs, stabilizer bolts, and wheel and brake assembly fasteners; seating and interior assembly hardware, including automotive seat lead screws and specialized structural screws; licensed high-performance fastening systems, including TAPTITE, MAThread, TORX, TORX Plus, PT, and Delta PT screws designed for specialized metal and polymer threading; and general industrial and construction fasteners, including high-tensile structural bolts, self-drilling screws, and weld studs. In addition to component manufacturing, the company offers integrated manufacturing services encompassing precision cold forging; multi-station thread rolling; computerized heat treatment processes including quenching, tempering, carburizing, and induction hardening; specialized surface finishing including zinc, tin-zinc, phosphate, and Geomet coatings; and artificial intelligence (AI)-based automated optical sorting and vision inspection. The company maintains manufacturing plants and an R&D center in South Korea, supported by an international network of sales offices and warehousing facilities serving markets across North America, Europe, and Asia. In recent developments, the company officially changed its corporate name from Youngshin Metal Industrial Co., Ltd. to YM Co., Ltd. to align its corporate identity with its global business expansion and modernized portfolio. Strategically, YM Co., Ltd. has expanded its operational scope by accelerating the development of specialized EV-dedicated fasteners, ultra-high-strength lightweight aluminum alloy fasteners, and high-precision motor transmission components to support next-generation electric mobility architectures. Furthermore, the company has completed significant smart factory upgrades across its production facilities, integrating automated warehouse systems and deep-learning vision inspection lines to enhance quality assurance and production efficiency for its global automotive partners.
