- Kwangmu Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based technology and industrial solutions provider primarily engaged in system integration, network infrastructure, smart factory automation, and secondary battery materials distribution. Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates across four primary business segments: Information Technology Services, Industrial Automation, Secondary Battery Materials, and Semiconductor Packaging.
In its Information Technology Services segment, the company delivers comprehensive information and communications technology infrastructure solutions, comprising network integration (NI) and system integration (SI) consulting, engineering, and maintenance; wired and wireless enterprise network architecture; communication and cybersecurity solutions; enterprise server, storage, and cloud infrastructure deployment; multimedia, audio-visual, and surveillance systems; and IT outsourcing (ITO) services, including enterprise data network management and telecommunication equipment leasing operations. In its Industrial Automation segment, the company provides turnkey smart factory automatic control systems; industrial process control engineering; supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems; and precision industrial automation components for robotics and manufacturing lines. In its Secondary Battery Materials segment, the company specializes in the procurement, distribution, and supply of essential chemical raw materials for lithium-ion batteries, specifically lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) electrolyte salts and functional chemical additives for energy storage and electric vehicle applications. Additionally, through its subsidiary Asher Corporation, the company provides semiconductor package assembly, testing, and toll processing services. Kwangmu primarily serves public institutions, telecommunications carriers, battery cell manufacturers, and industrial enterprises across South Korea.
In recent corporate developments, Kwangmu has undertaken major strategic expansions to diversify its operational base and improve profitability. In September 2026, the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% equity interest in Ubiz Solution Co., Ltd., a specialized provider of smart factory automated control systems serving tier-one industrial clients in steel, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, for 30.7 billion South Korean won. The company previously rebranded to Kwangmu Co., Ltd. from Lix Solution Co., Ltd. to reflect its expanded multi-sector business model. Prior to this, the company executed a strategic pivot into the green energy materials supply chain via the absorption merger of chemical materials specialist MI Pharm Jecheon Co., Ltd., established commercial lithium salt supply agreements with major electrolyte manufacturers including Enchem Co., Ltd., and made strategic equity investments in specialty chemical developer EP Chemtech Co., Ltd. to support functional electrolyte additive operations.
