Business
Powernet Technologies Corp. is a South Korea-based company primarily engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of switched-mode power supply (SMPS) devices and advanced power conversion solutions. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates across the electronic components, energy storage, and industrial electronics sectors, supplying mission-critical power management hardware to global original equipment manufacturers in consumer electronics, home appliances, and automotive markets. The company's core product portfolio encompasses a comprehensive range of power conversion systems and related electronics, including display SMPS for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) televisions, liquid-crystal display (LCD) televisions, and computer monitors; home appliance SMPS for refrigerators, air conditioners, air purifiers, and water filtration devices; industrial and office automation power supplies; light-emitting diode (LED) lighting power modules; automotive electronic control units and power modules for motor drives and sunroof assemblies; external alternating current/direct current (AC/DC) adaptors and high-speed power delivery (PD) boards; renewable energy electronics, such as grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage system (ESS) power conversion systems (PCS); lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack modules and integrated battery management systems (BMS); and custom electronic manufacturing services (EMS). Powernet Technologies Corp. distributes its products across domestic and international markets, catering to Tier-1 electronics conglomerates, including Samsung Electronics and Coway. The company maintains an integrated global manufacturing and supply chain footprint supported by wholly owned overseas production subsidiaries, which include Shenyang Ilssan Elecom Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Danam Electronics Co., Ltd. in China, as well as Powernet Vina Co., Ltd. in Hanoi, Vietnam. In recent strategic developments, Powernet Technologies Corp. has expanded beyond traditional consumer electronics power systems into high-density power architectures for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and next-generation energy storage. The company entered into a strategic collaboration with French gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductor designer Wise Integration and South Korean semiconductor manufacturer KEC to co-develop ultra-high-efficiency, GaN-based power supply units (PSUs) engineered for AI server data centers. Additionally, the company has broadened its energy transition initiatives through the industrialization of standardized LFP battery packs and proprietary BMS solutions for small-to-medium ESS and light electric mobility applications, alongside ongoing capacity scaling at its Vietnamese manufacturing facility to enhance cost competitiveness and geographic diversification.
