Business
JAEYOUNG SOLUTEC CO., LTD. is a South Korea-based precision components and optical engineering manufacturer primarily engaged in the development, fabrication, and distribution of ultra-compact camera actuators and precision electronics solutions for mobile devices and intelligent hardware. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Incheon, South Korea, the company operates across specialized divisions centered on nano-optics, precision IT components, and injection mold engineering. Its core product portfolio encompasses smartphone camera module actuators, including Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) actuators for high-definition multi-axis vibration correction, closed-loop and open-loop Encoder actuators for high-speed autofocus, and Voice Coil Motor (VCM) actuators; precision optical lens assemblies and aspherical optical elements for mobile handsets, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, and projection units; semiconductor test interface components, including integrated circuit (IC) test sockets, Ball Grid Array (BGA) contact connectors, and inspection probes; and ultra-precision plastic injection molds and structural polymer components for consumer appliances, automotive parts, medical equipment, and industrial logistics. The company caters to global consumer electronics and mobile device original equipment manufacturers, functioning as a primary camera actuator supplier to major technology conglomerates, including Samsung Electronics. Jaeyoung Solutec supports its global operations through domestic research and manufacturing facilities in South Korea alongside dedicated overseas production hubs, most notably its primary manufacturing subsidiary, Jaeyoung VINA, located in Vietnam. In recent corporate developments, Jaeyoung Solutec has executed a comprehensive strategic restructuring to phase out unprofitable legacy mold business segments in order to focus resources on high-margin nano-optical actuator solutions. To address surging demand for advanced OIS components across flagship and mid-tier smartphone product lines, the company has completed substantial capital expenditure programs to expand production capacity and install automated robotic assembly lines at its Vietnam manufacturing facility. Additionally, the company has strengthened its capital structure and mitigated equity overhang through the conversion, redemption, and cancellation of outstanding convertible bond tranches while continuing to secure proprietary patents in precision driving structures and optical alignment technology for next-generation mobile imaging systems.
