Business
CUROHOLDINGS Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based diversified corporation primarily engaged in premium food and beverage distribution, entertainment and media content production, and overseas natural resource development. Founded in December 1987 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates as a key affiliate of QCP Group (formerly Curo Group) alongside affiliates including GNCO Co., Ltd., Q Capital Partners, and Creo SG. Originally established as a semiconductor inspection equipment and IT solutions provider, the company subsequently restructured its business portfolio into consumer lifestyle, media, and energy segments. The company organizes its business operations across three primary operating divisions: Coffee, Entertainment, and Resource Development. In its Coffee division, CUROHOLDINGS operates as the exclusive South Korean distributor for the Italian premium brand illycaffè through subsidiaries such as Curo F&B; importing, wholesaling, and retailing whole-bean and ground roast coffee, Iperespresso capsules, commercial and home espresso machines, drip coffee makers, and specialized coffee accessories to luxury hotels, department stores, golf clubs, fine dining restaurants, corporate office coffee service clients, and online consumer channels. In its Entertainment division, the company produces television dramas, films, and digital broadcast content; manages actors and media personalities; and provides supporting actor and casting agency services through subsidiaries such as Eight Works, supplying programming to domestic television networks and global over-the-top streaming platforms including Netflix. In its Resource Development division, the company engages in the exploration, drilling, and commercial extraction of oil and gas reserves overseas, primarily operating through its North American subsidiary Curocom Energy, LLC. In recent developments, CUROHOLDINGS has focused on capital restructuring, subsidiary optimization, and commercial expansion across its core operating units. The company has actively strengthened its balance sheet and operational liquidity through capital-raising initiatives, including a paid-in capital increase via rights offerings, continuous conversions of previously issued convertible bonds, and strategic related-party financing facilities to fund working capital. In parallel, the company has undertaken operational rationalization by restructuring and liquidating non-core and underperforming subsidiary operations to reduce non-operating losses. Operationally, CUROHOLDINGS is expanding its premium illy coffee retail and B2B corporate distribution footprint to capitalize on increasing domestic demand for premium espresso and automated office coffee systems, while aligning its entertainment production pipeline toward scalable global OTT co-productions.
