Business
AMINOLOGICS Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based biotechnology and specialty chemical company primarily engaged in the development, manufacture, and distribution of chiral amino acids, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) intermediates, and electronic components. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates across two principal business segments: the Amino Acid Division and the Electronics Division. The Amino Acid Division utilizes proprietary Asymmetric Resolution of Chiral Amino Acids (ARCA) technology to produce high-purity natural and unnatural amino acids, D-amino acids, and specialized chemical intermediates for the global pharmaceutical, peptide synthesis, agrochemical, cosmeceutical, and functional food industries. Its product offerings include D-alanine, D-serine, D-valine, D-phenylalanine, D-threonine, D-proline, D-cysteine, and D-tryptophan; protected amino acids and peptide building blocks, including Fmoc-, Boc-, and Cbz-protected derivatives; custom chiral building blocks and linkers for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and GLP-1 peptide therapeutics; chemical intermediates for synthetic antibiotics, antiviral agents, and cardiovascular medications; and raw materials for functional cosmetics and dietary supplements. The Electronics Division engages in the wholesale distribution of electronic components, image sensors, security camera processors, digital video recorder (DVR) modules, and semiconductor parts to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and commercial electronics providers. The company distributes its products across domestic and international markets, including South Korea, the United States, Europe, China, Japan, and other regions throughout the Asia-Pacific. In recent developments, AMINOLOGICS has executed strategic expansions to meet the surging demand for biopharmaceutical raw materials used in synthetic peptide therapeutics, diabetes treatments, and targeted oncology medications. Over the past two years, the company has broadened its commercial supply partnerships with international contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) and biotechnology developers for specialized D-amino acid intermediates. In addition, AMINOLOGICS has launched new high-purity chiral building blocks for next-generation peptide APIs, upgraded its manufacturing and quality assurance processes to align with global pharmaceutical regulatory standards, and optimized its operational structure by streamlining its legacy electronic component distribution activities to concentrate capital and technical resources on its core high-margin bio-materials portfolio.
