Business
SurplusGLOBAL, Inc. is a South Korea-based total solutions provider specializing in the trading, refurbishment, and lifecycle management of pre-owned semiconductor manufacturing equipment and spare parts. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates across the global semiconductor supply chain, providing equipment and engineering services to integrated device manufacturers, pure-play foundries, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers, and academic and corporate research institutions. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, including: secondary semiconductor manufacturing equipment trading across 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm wafer sizes; front-end wafer fabrication machinery, such as photolithography steppers, track systems, dry and wet etching equipment, chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, atomic layer deposition, diffusion furnaces, ion implanters, and chemical mechanical planarization platforms; metrology and inspection systems, comprising critical dimension scanning electron microscopes, optical defect inspection tools, wafer probers, and ellipsometers; back-end packaging, dicing, wire bonding, and automated test equipment; engineering and technical support services, including tool refurbishment, decontamination, retrofit modifications, system reconfiguration, installation, calibration, and field maintenance; spare parts sourcing, inventory stocking, repair, and component lifecycle extension services; equipment rental and leasing solutions; and cleanroom facility leasing alongside shared laboratory space for tool demonstrations and qualification. The company maintains international business operations through subsidiaries and branch offices in South Korea, the United States, China, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore. In recent developments, SurplusGLOBAL has completed and scaled operations at its Global Semiconductor Equipment Cluster in Yongin, establishing a specialized hub for pre-owned equipment trading, cleanrooms, and testing facilities. The company has expanded into open test-bed and evaluation services for 200mm and 300mm wafer processes, facilitating research, development, and validation for semiconductor materials, components, and equipment developers. To address global supply chain constraints in legacy semiconductor manufacturing, SurplusGLOBAL has formed strategic partnerships with domestic and international component repair specialists and equipment vendors while advancing its dedicated global spare parts distribution platform. Furthermore, the company has expanded its engineering and refurbishment capacity to support growing mature-node manufacturing requirements across automotive semiconductors, power management integrated circuits, image sensors, and industrial electronics.
