Business
MOA Life Plus Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based biotechnology and healthcare company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of biopharmaceuticals, functional bio-ingredients, cosmeceuticals, and health functional foods. The company operates through two core business divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Healthcare. In its pharmaceutical segment, the company develops therapeutic agents and vaccines utilizing its proprietary MucoMAX mucosal immunity platform and HumaMAX poly-gamma-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) immune-modulation technology, with clinical-stage pipeline candidates including BLS-H01, an orally administered drug candidate in Phase 3 clinical evaluation for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN 1) and antiviral indications; BLS-M07, an oral therapeutic vaccine candidate evaluated in Phase 2b clinical trials for HPV-induced high-grade cervical dysplasia; BLS-M22, an orphan-designated drug candidate evaluated in Phase 1 trials for Duchenne muscular dystrophy; and preclinical-stage p53 tumor-suppressor gene reactivators and adjuvant platforms including BLC-H03. In its consumer healthcare and materials segment, the company manufactures and distributes high-purity biopolymer raw materials, notably high-molecular-weight poly-gamma-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) and probiotic strains such as Lactobacillus plantarum BLS41; premium cosmeceutical and skincare products marketed under proprietary brands including DOCTORS PGA; immune-support dietary supplements and health functional foods; and specialized pet care formulations. The company distributes its consumer products through online retail platforms, domestic healthcare channels, and influencer-driven e-commerce networks, while exporting functional raw materials to global cosmetics and personal care manufacturers in Europe and worldwide. In March 2024, the company officially changed its corporate name from BL Corporation (formerly Bioleaders Corporation) to MOA Life Plus Co., Ltd. following the acquisition of a controlling equity stake by Moadata Co., Ltd., a South Korean artificial intelligence and software solutions provider, which became its largest shareholder and parent entity. Following this ownership transition, the company initiated a strategic corporate reorganization to strengthen operational synergies, streamline its balance sheet through mezzanine debt divestitures, implement capital restructuring via stock consolidations, expand into AI-integrated healthcare data infrastructure, and advance global commercialization partnerships, including a material transfer agreement with LVMH for joint cosmetic bio-ingredient development and raw material supply arrangements through Switzerland-based RAHN Group. Founded in 1999, MOA Life Plus Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and is listed on the KOSDAQ market of the Korea Exchange under the ticker symbol 142760.
