Namuga Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based technology company that designs, develops, and manufactures advanced optical camera modules and three-dimensional (3D) artificial intelligence (AI) vision sensing solutions. The company operates within the electronic components and optical imaging industries, supplying key components to global consumer electronics original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), automotive manufacturers, robotics developers, and extended reality (XR) device makers. Namuga organizes its product and service offerings across several core categories: compact camera modules (CCMs) for smartphones, tablet computers, notebook PCs, smart home appliances, and automotive advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS); 3D depth-sensing modules utilizing Time-of-Flight (ToF), stereo vision, and structured light technologies for biometric authentication, facial recognition, obstacle detection, and spatial mapping; solid-state Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) optical sensors, including the Stella and Stella-2 series engineered for indoor autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial automation, outdoor perimeter security, and unmanned aerial vehicles; AI vision software and processing solutions providing real-time skeletal joint tracking, gesture recognition, and spatial motion analysis; and specialized multi-spectral and hue recognition sensors for bio-medical diagnostics and advanced optical inspection. Founded in 2004, the company is headquartered in Seongnam, South Korea, and maintains primary high-volume manufacturing operations through its overseas production subsidiary, Namuga Phu Tho Technology Company Limited, located in Phu Tho Province, Vietnam, supported by global technical sales and marketing operations in San Jose, California, United States. In recent developments, Namuga has executed a comprehensive strategic pivot to rebrand as an AI vision solutions provider under the corporate identity Vision Technology for Your AIs, diversifying beyond mobile handsets to target high-growth sectors including autonomous mobility, XR smart glasses, logistics robotics, and healthcare. To accelerate this transition, the company commercialized a strategic partnership with Lumotive to manufacture solid-state LiDAR sensors powered by Light Control Metasurface (LCM) semiconductor technology, collaborated with STMicroelectronics and VoxelSensors to supply 3D ToF sensing solutions for next-generation XR wearables, entered into a strategic alliance with Infineon Technologies to expand 3D vision applications, secured an AI vision supply agreement with LIPS Corporation for industrial robotics, and partnered with Spectricity to integrate miniature spectral sensing into optical module platforms.
