Business
P&H Tech Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based specialty chemical and electronic materials company primarily engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing of high-performance organic electronic materials for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays and advanced semiconductor applications. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates advanced production and research facilities in Yongin and Jincheon, supplying display panel manufacturers and electronic material conglomerates across South Korea, the United States, and broader international markets. The company structures its operations around three principal segments: OLED Display Materials, Organic Intermediates, and Specialty Catalysts. Its product portfolio comprises high-refractive-index and low-refractive-index capping layer (CPL) materials designed to enhance optical extraction efficiency and reduce power consumption in mobile and IT panels; hole transport layer (HTL) materials; electron blocking layer (EBL) materials; long-life blue host and emitting materials; functional host, dopant, and charge transport compounds; custom organic synthetic intermediate precursors for OLED chemical synthesis; palladium (Pd) catalysts for fine chemical and cross-coupling reactions; and contract synthesis and high-purity sublimation purification services. In recent strategic and operational developments, P&H Tech has executed a significant business model shift away from low-margin contract synthesis and intermediate manufacturing toward high-margin, proprietary patent-protected functional materials such as high-refractive CPL and EBL. To support rising demand from tier-one display customers adopting two-stack tandem OLED architectures in smartphones, tablets, and automotive displays, the company expanded its manufacturing footprint with the commissioning of its P2 manufacturing plant and a subsequent KRW 6 billion investment in new sublimation purification lines and high-precision deposition and analytical equipment at its headquarters. Furthermore, P&H Tech continues its multi-year strategic supply agreement with DuPont to deliver proprietary long-life OLED materials to tier-one panel makers, while simultaneously diversifying its technology roadmap into advanced semiconductor packaging materials, including specialized chemical materials for glass substrate through-glass via (TGV) processing.
