Business
Y-Biologics Inc. is a South Korea-based clinical-stage biotechnology company that researches, develops, and commercializes antibody-based therapeutics, with a specialized focus on immuno-oncology and targeted cancer treatments. The company discovers and develops novel biopharmaceuticals utilizing proprietary discovery platforms and provides contract research services, encompassing: Ymax-ABL, a fully human antibody phage display library with over 100 billion sequence diversities used for the discovery of high-affinity human monoclonal antibodies; ALiCE (Antibody-Like Cell Engager), a proprietary bispecific T-cell engager platform engineered with a unique Y-shaped molecular architecture designed to improve safety, reduce cytokine release risks, and prolong in vivo serum half-life; Multi-AbKine, a next-generation platform that combines bispecific antibodies with engineered cytokine variants, such as interleukin-2 variants (IL-2v), to stimulate localized anti-tumor immune responses; YBL-006 (Acrixolimab), a clinical-stage human anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody evaluated for advanced solid tumors; AR170, a multi-targeting agent combining anti-PD-1, anti-VEGF, and IL-2v mechanisms to reprogram the tumor microenvironment; AR166, a multi-specific candidate combining PD-1 and LAG-3 immune checkpoint inhibition with IL-2v signaling; AR153 and other pH-sensitive antibodies designed for selective binding within acidic tumor microenvironments; OXTIMA, an engineered bispecific antibody candidate; and specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) solutions, delivering customized antibody discovery, screening, humanization, and optimization services to biopharmaceutical companies and research institutions globally. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Daejeon, South Korea, with additional corporate and R&D operations in Seoul, the company operates across domestic and international markets, collaborating with partners in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. In recent developments, Y-Biologics completed its initial public offering on the KOSDAQ market under ticker symbol 338840. The company has aggressively expanded its collaborative pipeline through international out-licensing and co-development agreements, including licensing transactions for its bispecific asset OXTIMA with Navigator Medicines in the United States and Huadong Medicine in China, as well as licensing the YBL-007 antibody sequence to Vaxcell-Bio for cellular immunotherapy applications. Y-Biologics also entered strategic collaboration and technology transfer agreements with LigaChem Biosciences to develop novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), formed a joint research and development alliance with Ubix Therapeutics to develop degrader-antibody conjugates (DACs), and partnered with Galux for artificial intelligence-driven drug design. In addition, the company has advanced preclinical validation of its Multi-AbKine portfolio assets, presenting preclinical efficacy data for AR170 and AR166 at major international oncology conferences and expanding its global licensing initiatives.
