Born Korea Co. Ltd. operates as a multi-brand food service, franchise management, and hospitality company. The Company develops, operates, and franchises a diverse portfolio of restaurant and café brands; manufactures and distributes packaged consumer foods, home meal replacements, and proprietary B2B food service ingredients; operates hospitality properties; and provides commercial culinary consulting and regional development services. Born Korea Co. Ltd. organizes its business activities into four primary segments: Franchise Operations, Distribution and Retail, Hospitality, and Consulting Services. Under its Franchise Operations segment, the Company manages over twenty dining and beverage brands covering various culinary categories, including Paik's Coffee (specialty coffee, espresso beverages, tea, and bakery items); Saemaul Sikdang (Korean barbecue and kimchi stew); Bornga (traditional Korean barbecue and beef specialties); Hanshin Pocha (indoor Korean pub-style dining and casual bar food); Hong Kong Banjeom 0410 (Korean-Chinese cuisine, including jjamppong, jajangmyeon, and tangsuyuk); Rolling Pasta (casual Italian pasta, pizza, and Western dining); Yeokjeon Udon 0410 (Japanese-style udon, soba, and rice bowls); Paik's Bibim (traditional and modern bibimbap varieties); Paik's Beer (draft beer and pub appetizers); and Dolbaegi Jip (beef brisket specialties). Under its Distribution and Retail segment, the Company supplies wholesale raw materials, pre-processed meats, and agricultural goods to franchisees, while manufacturing retail packaged foods, instant noodles, meal kits, canned goods, and ready-to-eat meals for convenience stores, hypermarkets, and e-commerce platforms. It also develops and exports commercial-grade seasoning bases and sauces under its proprietary TBK brand, including Korean soy stir-fry sauces, fried chicken glazes, tteokbokki sauces, marinades, and specialized dipping seasonings for domestic and overseas food service operators. Under its Hospitality and Consulting segments, the Company owns and operates Hotel The Born Jeju, a boutique hotel located in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, featuring integrated dining venues, bakeries, and conference facilities. In addition, the Company provides commercial kitchen design, menu and recipe development, food service operational consulting, culinary festival planning, and public-private traditional market revitalization initiatives. Born Korea Co. Ltd. serves retail consumers, franchise partners, institutional clients, and global food distributors across South Korea, with international operations and master franchise networks spanning the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Europe. In recent developments, Born Korea Co. Ltd. completed its Initial Public Offering and listed its common shares on the KOSPI market of the Korea Exchange (KRX: 475560) in November 2024 to fund global expansion, automated food-tech investments, and supply chain infrastructure. The Company has accelerated its international growth strategy by entering into strategic master franchise partnerships, including a ten-year master franchise agreement in 2026 to expand the Paik's Coffee footprint across Taiwan with a target of over 150 stores, while advancing retail and B2B sauce distribution partnerships with hypermarket chains across Europe and North America. Furthermore, the Company is actively pursuing strategic mergers and acquisitions targeting food manufacturing and food-tech companies to enhance supply chain vertical integration and drive operational synergies. Born Korea Co. Ltd. was founded in 1994 by Paik Jong-won and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
