Business
Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC functions as an independent energy enterprise, concentrating on hydrocarbon exploration, development, and production activities within the Pre-Caspian Basin. The company actively identifies and cultivates oil and gas deposits, subsequently producing and marketing a range of products including crude oil, stabilised condensate, liquefied petroleum gas, and dry gas. Its primary operational asset is the wholly-owned Chinarevskoye field, situated in North-Western Kazakhstan, which has a production licence valid through 2033 for most reservoirs. Nostrum also maintains an 80% interest in the Stepnoy Leopard fields in the same region. A significant part of the company's strategy involves leveraging its world-class gas processing facilities, which feature substantial spare capacity, to process third-party hydrocarbons, alongside its own production. Recent efforts include a limited drilling campaign at Chinarevskoye and an expansion of its gas-lift system, aimed at bolstering production and optimising costs. As of December 31, 2024, the company reported total proven and probable (2P) reserves of 18 million barrels of oil equivalent. Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC was established in 1997 and maintains its corporate headquarters in London, United Kingdom.
