Mercedes-Benz Group AG engages in the development, production, distribution, and sale of high-end passenger cars, premium vans, and related mobility services worldwide. Through its Mercedes-Benz AG division, the company offers luxury automobiles under the Mercedes-Benz brand including Mercedes-AMG high-performance models, Mercedes-Maybach ultra-luxury vehicles, G-Class SUVs, S-Class sedans, EQS electric sedans and SUVs, GLS SUVs, and all-electric models based on the Electric Vehicle Architecture; vans through Mercedes-Benz Vans encompassing the Sprinter large van, Vito mid-size van, and Citan small van for commercial segments; and the smart brand for micro hybrid cars. Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG provides customized financial and mobility solutions such as vehicle financing, leasing contracts, car subscriptions, rentals, fleet management, insurance products, digital payment solutions, innovative mobility services, and charging infrastructure support. The company operates over 30 production sites across four continents, sells vehicles in more than 180 countries, and targets private consumers, fleet operators, and commercial logistics sectors with a focus on electric mobility, luxury, and sustainability. Founded in 1926 and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, Mercedes-Benz Group AG maintains a global presence with key expansions including the establishment of Atlanta as its North American headquarters in 2025 through the relocation of up to 500 corporate, technical, and high-tech roles to Sandy Springs facilities alongside a new multi-million dollar Research & Development hub. Recent strategic developments encompass the launch of the all-new electric GLC midsize SUV with a two-thirds reduced carbon footprint over its lifecycle, integration into the Renewable Carbon Initiative for fossil-free components, the largest product offensive in company history featuring over 40 new vehicles by 2028 including four entry-level Mercedes-Benz models from 2025, executive changes effective December 1, 2025 with Jörg Burzer assuming Chief Technology Officer responsibilities and Michael Schiebe taking over Production, Quality & Supply Chain Management, and the introduction of Microsoft business productivity tools for enhanced in-car collaboration.
