Business
Industrie Chimiche Forestali SpA is an Italy-based chemical company that designs, manufactures, and markets specialty adhesives and high-tech fabrics for a wide range of industrial applications. Founded in 1918 and headquartered in Marcallo con Casone, Italy, the company serves five primary target markets: footwear and leather goods, automotive interiors, flexible packaging, upholstery and furniture, and general industrial manufacturing. The company distributes its solutions under five distinct commercial brands, consisting of Forestali, ABC (Adhesive Based Chemicals), Durabond, Morel, and Tessitura Langè. Its comprehensive product portfolio comprises solvent-based, water-based, polyurethane, polychloroprene, and hot-melt adhesives; structural and pressure-sensitive bonding agents; specialty laminating adhesives for flexible food and non-food packaging; automotive adhesive systems for headliners, dashboards, door panels, and seat assembly; technical textiles, toe-puffs, counters, and structural reinforcements for luxury and performance footwear; and refined cotton and blended fabrics for high-end packaging and technical applications. Operating primary manufacturing and research facilities in the Lombardy region, the company serves an international client base, exporting over half of its total production across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East. In recent corporate developments, Industrie Chimiche Forestali expanded its industrial finishing and packaging division through the strategic acquisition and operational integration of Tessitura Langè, following its prior integration of technical component manufacturer Morel. Furthermore, the company has accelerated its transition toward sustainable chemistry by expanding its portfolio of bio-based formulations, solvent-free waterborne adhesives, and certified recycled fabrics, alongside executing active share repurchase programs and corporate governance enhancements on the Euronext Growth Milan market.
