Business
Paul Mueller Company and its global subsidiaries engineer and produce specialized equipment and components across diverse international markets, including North America, Europe, and Asia. The company structures its operations around key areas: Dairy Farm Equipment, Industrial Equipment, and Transportation. The Dairy Farm Equipment division delivers comprehensive solutions for milk cooling and storage, including various coolers, tanks, accessories, and refrigeration systems, alongside heat recovery units, catering to dairy farms through independent dealers and direct sales, also providing equipment rental options for farmers. The Industrial Equipment sector designs and manufactures advanced processing and storage solutions such as biopharmaceutical and pure water purification systems, sophisticated heat transfer products like the Temp-Plate® and Accu-Therm® exchangers, and a wide array of stainless steel and alloy processing and storage tanks. This segment also encompasses custom fabrication, integrated systems, and complete turnkey solutions for processing facilities, supporting complex projects from design to installation and ongoing maintenance. The Transportation segment, operating with a specialized fleet, manages product deliveries to clients and project sites, handles material backhauls, and offers contract carriage services to external parties. These offerings serve a broad spectrum of industries, including dairy farming and processing, food, beverage, brewing, wine, animal health, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, pure water, heat transfer, HVAC, oil and gas, personal care, and specialized manufacturing like battery production. Founded in 1940 and headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, Paul Mueller Company continues its legacy of innovation with significant recent investments, including a $20 million expansion at its Springfield campus for large-scale production modules and R&D, and further expansions to its Components Products facilities, aimed at enhancing capacity and developing new market capabilities. The company has demonstrated robust financial growth, marked by increased net sales and a substantial backlog in early 2025.
