Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (Generali Group) operates as one of the largest integrated global insurance and asset management groups, offering life insurance, property and casualty insurance, and asset management services to 71 million customers across more than 50 countries. The company provides comprehensive life insurance products including lump-sum and annuity payments for life events; property and casualty coverage against property damage, personal injury, and public liability; and asset management solutions for listed and unlisted financial instruments focused on optimal risk-adjusted returns. It serves individuals, medium-to-large companies, brokers, and institutional clients through five business units—Italy; Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; France and Global Business Activities; International; and Asset & Wealth Management—with a strong presence in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America; Generali maintains its headquarters in Trieste, Italy, where it was founded in 1831. Generali recently signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with BPCE in January 2025 to form a 50-50 joint venture between Generali Investments Holding and Natixis Investment Managers, creating Europe's largest asset manager by revenues and a global top-10 player with approximately €1.9 trillion in assets under management. In October 2025, Generali Investments acquired a majority stake in MGG Investment Group, a U.S.-based private direct lending specialist, to bolster its private assets capabilities. The company launched its Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence strategic plan in January 2025, succeeding Lifetime Partner 24: Driving Growth, to enhance customer relationships, operational models, and core capabilities while committing €15 billion in seed capital over five years to the new asset management platform.
