Business
Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd is a Malaysia-based diversified engineering and construction company specializing in civil, marine, infrastructure, oil and gas, and structural engineering contract works. Incorporated in 1972 and headquartered in Klang, Selangor, the company operates primarily in Malaysia with international projects in regions including Myanmar and Cambodia; it provides engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) services for steel structures, buildings, airports, marine facilities, and oil and gas projects, alongside crane manufacturing including heavy lifting equipment, shipbuilding and ship repair for anchor handling tugboats, supply vessels, accommodation ships, and offshore vessels, fabrication works for onshore and offshore steel structures, waste heat recovery systems, and concessions such as international airport privatization in Cambodia and road maintenance in Peninsular Malaysia. The company serves industries including oil and gas exploration and production, petrochemicals, aviation, and transportation infrastructure, targeting clients in energy, aviation, and marine sectors through subsidiaries like ITS Konsortium Sdn Bhd and associates such as Favco and Master-Pack Group Bhd. In March 2025, Muhibbah increased its stake in Master-Pack Group Bhd, a producer of corrugated cartons and wooden packaging operating in Malaysia and Vietnam, to 31% through open market acquisitions totaling RM62.25 million, establishing it as an associate and expanding recurring income via equity accounting and dividends. Additionally, associate SCA secured 15-year operating rights for Cambodia's Techo International Airport with USD140 million compensation, while Favco obtained crane orders for Saudi Arabia's Jeddah Tower project.
