Business
Kolibri Global Energy Inc. (TSX: KEI, NASDAQ: KGEI) is a North American energy company focused on the acquisition, exploration, exploitation, and production of oil, gas, and clean and sustainable energy reserves. The company owns and operates shale oil and gas properties in the United States, primarily through its wholly owned subsidiary Kolibri Energy US Inc., which holds rights to approximately 17,100 contiguous acres in the Tishomingo field in the Ardmore Basin of southern Oklahoma within the SCOOP region; it targets the Caney Shale Oil, Upper Sycamore, and Woodford shale formations, operating 32 horizontal Caney shale oil wells as of mid-2024 with a production mix of 73% oil, 16% natural gas liquids (NGLs), and 10% natural gas, selling crude oil, natural gas, and NGLs. Kolibri Global Energy derives the majority of its revenue from the United States, where it applies technical and operational expertise to develop its assets cost-efficiently while emphasizing environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement. Founded in 2008 and formerly known as BNK Petroleum Inc. until its name change in November 2020, Kolibri Global Energy maintains its headquarters at 925 Broadbeck Drive, Suite 220, Thousand Oaks, California, with a registered office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In recent developments, the company reports a 40% increase in production and 15% rise in net revenues for the third quarter of 2025 compared to the prior year, driven by higher oil output and an improved product mix reaching 71% oil in September 2025, alongside ongoing completion of its final four wells for 2025 expected to boost production into 2026; it maintains proved reserves of 32.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBoe) and proved plus probable reserves of 54.1 MMBoe as of year-end 2023, with a 2025 capital expenditure budget of $48 million to $53 million fully funded by operating cash flow and a $65 million reserves-based credit facility to drill from its inventory of 104 booked locations (52 proved, 31 probable, 21 possible).
