Medicenna Therapeutics Corp. Medicenna Therapeutics Corp. (MDNA.TO) is a clinical-stage immunotherapy company that develops highly selective Superkines, engineered interleukins including IL-2, IL-4, and IL-13 variants, and first-in-class Empowered Superkines designed to modulate the immune system for treating cancer, autoimmune diseases, and immune-mediated conditions; core pipeline assets encompass MDNA11, a long-acting IL-2 Superkine with superior CD122 affinity and no CD25 binding that preferentially activates cancer-killing effector T cells and NK cells in Phase 1/2 trials for solid tumors such as melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, bizaxofusp (formerly MDNA55), an IL-4 Empowered Superkine with Fast Track and Orphan Drug designations that has completed five clinical trials including Phase 2b for recurrent glioblastoma and is Phase 3-ready, early-stage IL-2/IL-15 super-antagonists from the MDNA209 platform for autoimmune and graft-versus-host diseases, BiSKITs (Bifunctional SuperKine ImmunoTherapies), and T-MASK (Targeted Metalloprotease Activated SuperKine) programs to target immunologically cold tumors. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the company operates primarily in North America and Europe with a focus on immuno-oncology and neuroinflammatory therapies targeting unmet needs in high-grade gliomas, solid tumors, and inflammation. Recent developments include pursuing strategic partnerships for the Phase 3-ready bizaxofusp program in recurrent glioblastoma following testing in 118 high-grade glioma patients, advancing the Phase 1/2 ABILITY-1 trial of MDNA11 with topline monotherapy and combination data anticipated by year-end 2025 including expansion cohorts, completing enrollment in the ABILITY-1 study, and entering a collaboration with Fondazione Melanoma Onlus in November 2025 to sponsor the NEO-CYT randomized neoadjuvant trial evaluating MDNA11 in combination before first-line therapy for high-risk early-stage melanoma, alongside reporting fiscal year 2025 financial results in June 2025 and planning completion of the MDNA113 non-human primate study.
