Business
Osisko Development Corp. is a North American gold development company that acquires, explores, and develops precious and base metal resource properties, focusing on past-producing mining camps in mining-friendly jurisdictions including Canada, the United States, and Mexico; it targets gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc deposits through its flagship 100%-owned Cariboo Gold Project in central British Columbia, Canada, which spans approximately 192,000 hectares with 443 mineral titles and features a fully permitted underground operation supported by an April 2025 feasibility study projecting 1.89 million ounces of gold production over a 10-year mine life, the Tintic Project in Utah's historic East Tintic mining district with brownfield exploration potential and recent small-scale heap leach gold production of 877 ounces sold in 2025, and other exploration properties such as the recently divested San Antonio Gold Project in Sonora, Mexico. Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, and founded in 2005, the company operates through subsidiaries and maintains a portfolio of marketable securities while advancing toward intermediate gold producer status under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Sean Roosen. In 2025, Osisko Development secured a US$450 million project financing facility with Appian Capital Advisory Limited, drawing US$100 million initially and an additional US$137.2 million by Q3 to fund Cariboo Gold Project development including pre-construction, underground advancement, and a 13,000-meter infill drilling program; completed equity financings totaling over US$195 million plus subsequent private placements yielding approximately C$280 million and C$82.5 million; released an optimized Cariboo feasibility study in April enhancing economics with after-tax NPV5% of C$943 million at US$2,400/oz gold; and entered an agreement in November to divest its non-core San Antonio project to Axo Copper Corp. for 15.3 million Axo shares representing 9.99% ownership plus contingent cash and share payments tied to milestones.
