Business
NGL Energy Partners LP (NYSE: NGL) is a diversified midstream master limited partnership that owns and operates a fully integrated network providing transportation, storage, blending, and marketing services for crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGLs), refined products and renewables, and produced water solutions to producers, refiners, and end-users throughout the United States and Canada. The company conducts its operations through three primary business segments: Water Solutions, which encompasses the transportation, treatment, recycling, disposal, and management of produced and flowback water via large-diameter pipelines, disposal wells, and treatment facilities, achieving record volumes of approximately 2.73 million barrels per day processed in its fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025; Crude Oil Logistics, which aggregates and transports crude oil from wellheads to refineries, storage terminals, rail facilities, and other trading points; and Liquids Logistics, which supplies NGLs such as propane and butane, refined petroleum products, and biodiesel to retailers, wholesalers, refiners, petrochemical plants, and commercial customers via terminals, railcars, and underground storage. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with additional offices in Denver, Colorado, NGL maintains an asset base concentrated in key producing regions including the Permian Basin, Mid-Continent, and Gulf Coast, supported by subsidiaries such as NGL Water Solutions Permian LLC and TransMontaigne Product Services LLC. In recent strategic developments during fiscal 2025, NGL executed multiple non-core asset sales generating approximately $270 million in proceeds, including 17 natural gas liquids terminals, its wholesale propane business, the refined products Rack Marketing business, ownership in Limestone Ranch within Water Solutions, the Green Bay terminal, and its remaining crude railcar fleet, utilizing these funds to repay asset-based lending borrowings, repurchase Class D preferred units, and reduce overall indebtedness while enhancing focus on high-margin water solutions that delivered record Adjusted EBITDA contributions. The company also advanced environmental initiatives through a public-private partnership with the State of New Mexico to acquire approximately 10,000 acres of Lesser Prairie Chicken habitat, including the Pipkin Ranch, and commenced operations of the LEX II water pipeline to support growing disposal volumes. These moves reflect NGL's disciplined strategy of organic growth, accretive acquisitions, and portfolio optimization to deliver stable cash flows amid evolving midstream dynamics.
