Business
Magna Mining Inc. engages in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of base and precious metals mineral properties in the Sudbury mining district of Ontario, Canada. The Company produces copper-bearing ore from its McCreedy West Mine and maintains a portfolio of nickel, copper and platinum-group-metals projects spanning production, redevelopment, advanced development and exploration. Its principal assets comprise the operating McCreedy West copper mine, including the 700 Copper Zone and Intermain Nickel Zone; the past-producing Levack, Podolsky, Kirkwood and Crean Hill nickel-copper-PGM mines; the Shakespeare project, a permitted development-stage nickel-copper-PGM project; and the Falconbridge Footwall, Northwest Foy, North Range and Rand exploration properties. Magna’s mining activities target copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, gold and associated metals, with production and development focused on supplying base- and critical-mineral markets from the established Sudbury Basin. The Company completed the acquisition of McCreedy West and associated KGHM International Ltd. base-metals assets in February 2025, transforming it into an operating producer while adding past-producing mines and regional exploration holdings. In August 2026, Magna closed a C$140.3 million non-brokered strategic private placement with Alpayana S.A.C., which acquired approximately 19.9% of Magna’s outstanding common shares; proceeds are intended to advance Sudbury-region development activities and support working capital. The related investor-rights agreement provides Alpayana with participation and top-up rights, potential board representation or observer rights and a jointly represented advisory technical committee, subject to ownership thresholds. Founded in 2016, Magna Mining is headquartered in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
