Originally established as a partnership firm in 2015 and incorporated as a public limited company in 2022, Annapurna Swadisht Ltd maintains its headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal, with manufacturing facilities in Asansol (approximately 50,142 sq ft), Siliguri (35,000 sq ft), Gurap (new plant operational since July 2023), and a greenfield unit in Tezpur, Assam (6-acre plot acquired on long-term lease in March 2024 and commercial production commenced in April 2024). The company employs over 845 people and operates across key states in eastern India, with expansions into Uttar Pradesh via a contract manufacturing agreement with Gopal Food Products in June 2023.
In recent strategic developments, Annapurna Swadisht approved the acquisition of 100% stake in Madhur Confectioners Private Limited for up to Rs 180 crore in August 2024, with the deal completed by late November 2024, making it a wholly owned subsidiary to bolster its confectionery segment including flavoured candies, lollipops, toy confectionery, and chocolates. Additional moves include a fund raise through qualified institutional buyer allotment in September 2024; entry into the edible oil market via acquisition of the Arati brand mustard oil in March 2024; preferential issuance of shares worth Rs 324.5 million in August 2023; and appointment of Manoj Sharma as CEO in January 2025.
