Business
Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Limited is an India-based textile manufacturing and processing company engaged in the production, finishing, and distribution of woven fabrics and textile solutions. Founded in 1991 as part of the Mahalaxmi Group and headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the company operates specialized manufacturing and processing facilities that cater to domestic garment manufacturers, apparel exporters, institutional buyers, and retail brands. The company's core product and service portfolio includes cotton and blended woven fabrics; bottom-weight fabrics for trousers, denim, and casual wear; premium shirting and suiting materials; yarn-dyed and piece-dyed fabrics; printed dress materials and fashion textiles; technical textiles and grey fabrics; and comprehensive commission processing services comprising bleaching, mercerizing, dyeing, continuous printing, and specialized performance finishing. Geographically, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Limited serves diverse regional markets across India while exporting finished fabrics to international markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. In recent major developments, the company was established as an independent, publicly listed entity following the implementation of a National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved Composite Scheme of Arrangement that demerged the traditional textile processing and fabric operations of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited into Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Limited, resulting in its separate equity listing on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE: MFML) and the BSE. Following the restructuring, the company has focused on modernizing its processing infrastructure, optimizing operational efficiency, enhancing eco-friendly and sustainable fabric processing lines, and expanding its direct supply agreements with domestic and international fashion labels.
