In recent years, Sakthi Sugars has undergone significant operational changes including the sale of its sugar and distillery units in Dhenkanal, Odisha to Indian Potash Limited to streamline its operations. The company continues to focus on value addition and diversification with emphasis on ethanol production under the government-backed Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program, which is expected to offer higher-margin opportunities. Sakthi Sugars also utilizes by-products like bagasse and press mud for sustainable power generation and environmental initiatives.
