Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of premium cotton and blended yarns, denim fabrics, and garments as one of India's leading vertically integrated textile companies focused on the premium denim sector. Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Secunderabad, Telangana, India, with spinning and manufacturing facilities in Telangana and Maharashtra, the company produces specialized high-performance cotton, polyester, and blended yarns including 100% cotton, cotton lycra, slubs, and mixed counts; denim fabrics in weaves such as bull denims, twills, drills, herring bones, canvas shoe ducks, oxfords, broken twills, and satins with cotton warp and poly micro weft; and garments for leading private labels, fashion brands, and retail chains across 29 countries including India, Bangladesh, and others. It serves as an original denim manufacturer (ODM) with over five decades of market leadership, leveraging cutting-edge design, advanced spinning technology, end-to-end production capabilities, and more than 3,000 specialized denim variants to achieve high per-meter sales realizations through forward and backward integration. Recent developments include investments in backend supply chain enhancements for yarn and fabric integration, installation of 26 new looms and modernized finishing and dyeing machinery for wider width fabrics, adoption of performance fibers like polyester poly-viscose blends, Tencel, EcoVero, and hemp to expand the product portfolio and customer base, strategic tie-ups with CleanKore for laser-friendly dyeing, Regenagri Cotton for traceability and soil health, and Indigo Good for fresh water reduction, addition of a 1.5 MW solar power plant to bolster renewable energy commitments, and a shift to cheaper export financing by engaging four banks outside the consortium to lower interest burdens and improve operational efficiency. The company maintains compliance with high health, safety, and environmental standards while aligning with India's Make in India initiative to position itself as a global center of excellence in sustainable denim manufacturing.
