Business
Tega Industries Limited, established in 1976 and headquartered in Kolkata, India, is a global provider of specialized consumables and comprehensive solutions for the mineral beneficiation, mining, and bulk solids handling sectors. The company engineers and produces a wide array of wear-resistant components, utilizing materials such as rubber, polyurethane, abrasion-resistant steel, and ceramics. Its core product lines include diverse mill liners, notably the DynaMax range featuring DynaSteel, DynaPrime (a proprietary hybrid rubber-steel composite), DynaWear, and DynaPulp, where Tega stands as one of the world's leading manufacturers of polymer-based mill liners. The firm also delivers advanced screening solutions, including Rapido machines and various screening decks such as bolt-down, cross-tension, and anti-clogging panels, along with trommels designed for a spectrum of duty requirements. Additional offerings encompass hydrocyclones for efficient particle separation and Ultimo conveyor components, which feature CenTrax belt guiding systems, Spill-Ex skirt sealing systems, and ceramic pulley laggings. Beyond manufacturing, Tega provides value-added services such as plant audit consultancy for process optimization, operational support, and the supply of critical spare parts. In a strategic move to broaden its offerings, Tega Industries completed the acquisition of McNally Sayaji Engineering Limited in February 2023, significantly expanding its equipment portfolio for crushing, screening, grinding, and material handling, alongside enhanced aftermarket services. Further demonstrating its growth ambitions, the company announced a proposed acquisition of the US-based Molycop in a consortium with Apollo Funds, aimed at substantially enhancing its global footprint and product capabilities in the mining sector. This expansion follows a successful preferential share issue in 2025, which raised approximately ₹2,000.60 crore from institutional investors. Tega Industries serves over 700 clients across more than 92 countries and operates manufacturing facilities situated in India, South Africa, Australia, and Chile, supported by an extensive global sales and distribution network. The company's commitment to innovation is reflected in its increased investment in research and development, focusing on sustainable materials and advanced technologies like IoT to deliver cutting-edge solutions that optimize productivity for the global mineral processing, mining, and bulk solids handling industries.
