Business
Targa Exploration Corp. engages in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties focused on lithium, gold and silver deposits in Canada and Argentina. The company holds a 100%-owned flagship Opinaca project comprising approximately 85,267 hectares in the James Bay region of northern Quebec, where it targets lithium pegmatites and a significant 7-kilometer-wide gold-in-till anomaly identified through extensive till sampling, geophysical surveys and boulder prospecting that returned values up to 6.7 grams per tonne gold; recent 2025 activities at Opinaca include an airborne magnetic and VLF survey followed by a maiden 3,648-meter drill program in eight holes with visible gold observed in one hole and assays pending. Targa Exploration additionally maintains options to acquire up to 80% interests in the Venidero and El Zanjon gold-silver epithermal projects in Santa Cruz, Argentina, entered via agreements in November 2025 with Aegis Resources Ltd. and related parties; these projects stem from assets spun out of Rugby Resources Ltd. earlier in 2025. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, the company formerly operated as RCM Minerals Ltd. prior to its name change in July 2021 and conducts operations primarily in Quebec, Manitoba and now Argentina.
