Business
Qatari German Company for Medical Devices (Q.P.S.C.) (QGMD.QA) manufactures and sells single-use disposable medical syringes and related devices in Qatar and internationally; trades in medical consumables, equipment, tools, supplies and furniture; and provides healthcare training services. Its core products include Q JectUltra insulin syringes for diabetic care; Q Flow IV cannulas for infusion therapy; Q Need single-use hypodermic needles; Q Ject single-use syringes for curative medications; and Q Safe re-use prevention syringes, all produced in a state-of-the-art facility in Doha designed by technology providers from Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Abu Hamour, Doha, Qatar, the company operates primarily in the Middle East with growing exports to Europe and other regulated markets, serving healthcare providers, hospitals and pharmacies. In 2024, QGMD expanded its commercial activities by launching a new business line to distribute medical consumables and first aid supplies through hypermarkets, pharmacies and gas stations in Qatar; participated in the Qatar-South Korea trade mission organized by Qatar Development Bank to enhance global market access; and appointed Amer Abu Shaikha as a key executive while hosting visits from high-level officials including His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani. The company continues to pursue strategic growth amid reported financial challenges, including a QR68.485 million net loss in 2024.
