Business
Gibraltar Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer and provider of products and services primarily for the residential, renewable energy, agricultural technology (Agtech), and infrastructure markets. The company offers a broad portfolio including roof and foundation ventilation products; mail systems and package solutions such as single mailboxes, cluster style mail and parcel boxes for single and multi-family housing, and package locker systems; roof edgings and flashings; soffits and trims; drywall corner beads; metal roofing and accessories; rain dispersion products including gutters and accessories; exterior retractable awnings and remote-controlled deck awnings and valances for sun protection. In its Renewables segment, Gibraltar designs, engineers, manufactures, and installs solar racking and electrical balance of system products for commercial and distributed generation solar installations. The Agtech segment delivers controlled environmental agriculture solutions and custom greenhouse structures, as well as structural canopies for retail, food, car wash applications, and integration of subsystems for commercial growers. The Infrastructure segment supplies expansion joints, structural bearings, rubber pre-formed seals, elastomeric concrete, and bridge cable protection systems. Gibraltar Industries serves solar developers, home improvement retailers, wholesalers, distributors, contractors, and institutional and commercial agricultural customers. Founded in 1972, the company is headquartered in Buffalo, New York, and operates across the United States with some international presence. Recent strategic developments include the acquisition of OmniMax International for approximately $1.34 billion in cash announced in November 2025, which significantly expands Gibraltar's residential building products footprint, particularly in metal roofing, a high-margin growth sector. Earlier in 2025, Gibraltar also expanded its Agtech segment through the acquisition of Lane Supply, a leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of structural canopies serving convenience stores, quick-serve restaurants, travel centers, food retailers, and EV charging stations. These acquisitions are expected to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and market penetration in their respective segments. Gibraltar has also launched new high-performance roofing systems and efficient-installation ventilation solutions, reinforcing its commitment to product innovation. The company maintains a strong financial outlook with a record sales backlog and a $200 million stock repurchase program planned for 2025 to enhance shareholder value. These initiatives align with its strategy to drive growth through portfolio enhancement, geographic expansion, and sustained innovation across its business lines.
