Business
SAF Tehnika A/S designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes wireless data transmission equipment, handheld microwave test and measurement instruments, and Internet of Things (IoT) sensor solutions for telecommunications operators, internet service providers, utility companies, public safety agencies, defense organizations, and enterprise clients worldwide. The company operates through two primary business segments: Microwave Data Transmission and IoT & Environmental Monitoring Solutions. Its microwave transmission portfolio includes the Integra family of compact, full-outdoor point-to-point microwave radio systems, such as Integra-E, Integra-X, Integra-W, and Integra-G, delivering multi-gigabit transmission capacities across traditional microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands from 6 GHz to 80 GHz; the CFIP and PhoeniX series of split-mount and full-outdoor microwave radio solutions, including PhoeniX G2 and CFIP Lumina; the Marathon series of long-range, low-frequency microwave systems engineered for challenging geographic terrains and utility networks; and a comprehensive range of microwave accessories, including parabolic antennas, mounting hardware, surge arrestors, and power-over-Ethernet injectors. The company's test and measurement division produces the Spectrum Compact product line, consisting of handheld microwave spectrum analyzers covering frequency bands from 300 MHz to 87 GHz, along with handheld signal generators, RF power meters, and associated calibration and analysis software utilized by field engineers for link verification and network troubleshooting. Under its Aranet brand, the company manufactures wireless environmental monitoring systems and IoT hardware, comprising Aranet4 wireless indoor air quality and CO2 monitors, Aranet2 temperature and humidity monitors, Aranet Radon and radiation sensors, specialized agricultural and horticultural sensors for soil moisture, PAR light, and substrate weight tracking, Aranet PRO base stations, and the centralized Aranet Cloud management platform. SAF Tehnika also provides RF network planning, system integration, warranty maintenance, technical support, and calibration services. In recent developments, the company has expanded its multi-gigabit Integra-E series and high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions to support next-generation 5G telecommunications rollouts; introduced higher-frequency extensions and enhanced automation capabilities for the Spectrum Compact handheld instrument line; and accelerated global market penetration of its Aranet IoT ecosystem into smart buildings, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and commercial horticulture through new enterprise cloud features and international distribution partnerships. Founded in 1999, SAF Tehnika A/S is headquartered in Riga, Latvia, maintains a North American subsidiary, SAF North America LLC, in Denver, Colorado, and exports its products and solutions to customers in more than 130 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
