Core products and services include private passenger automobile policies covering bodily injury, property damage, no-fault personal injury, and physical damage from collisions or other perils; commercial automobile policies for business vehicles; homeowners policies protecting dwellings, contents, and liability from various perils; dwelling fire policies for non-owner-occupied properties; umbrella policies offering excess liability coverage; and business owner policies tailored for small and medium-sized commercial accounts such as apartments, condominiums, mercantile establishments, offices, processing and service businesses, special trade contractors, and wholesaling operations. The company operates in Massachusetts, with personal insurance products extended to New Hampshire since 2008 and recently to Maine. Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Safety Insurance focuses on the property and casualty insurance segment, serving individual and small business customers in the Northeastern United States.
