Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the company operates primarily across the Vietnamese domestic market while exporting consumer products and supplying industrial materials globally.
The company's core operations are organized through several key subsidiaries and associated entities: Masan Consumer Holdings manufactures and distributes packaged foods, beverages, and home care items, offering seasonings, fish sauces, soy sauces, and chili sauces under the Chin-su, Nam Ngu, and Tam Thai Tu brands; convenience foods, instant noodles, and ready-to-eat meals under the Omachi and Kokomi brands; instant and roasted coffee mixes under the Vinacafé and Wake-Up brands; bottled natural mineral water and functional beverages under the Vinh Hao and Quang Hanh brands; energy drinks under the Compact and Wake-Up 247 brands; and home and personal care products under the Joins, Chanté, and Homey brands; WinCommerce operates modern retail networks comprising WinMart supermarkets, WinMart+ minimarts, and integrated WiN multi-service stores distributing groceries, fresh produce, and consumer staples; Masan MEATLife processes and sells branded chilled pork, beef, and processed meats under the MEATDeli, Ponnie, and Heo Cao Boi brands; Phuc Long Heritage operates specialty tea and coffee retail stores and integrated kiosks providing premium beverages; Masan High-Tech Materials engages in the exploration, mining, and advanced processing of midstream and downstream tungsten chemicals, tungsten powders, tungsten carbide, fluorspar, bismuth, and copper for international industrial manufacturing; and an associated stake in Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) provides corporate and retail banking, asset management, and digital financial solutions.
In recent strategic developments, Masan Group has executed key portfolio optimization and expansion initiatives. The company secured an equity investment of up to 500 million US dollars from global private equity firm Bain Capital to strengthen its capital structure and fund consumer retail growth. Within its materials segment, Masan High-Tech Materials reached a binding agreement to divest its 100 percent equity interest in H.C. Starck Holding GmbH to Japan-based Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, focusing capital allocation on core consumer-centric businesses. Operationally, Masan Group accelerated its Point of Life retail integration strategy through the nationwide expansion of the WiN membership program, combining grocery retail, Phuc Long beverages, Wintel mobile virtual network services, and Techcombank digital financial services across thousands of locations. In addition, the group initiated preparations to transition Masan Consumer Corporation from the UPCoM exchange to an official listing on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, while expanding its global consumer presence by launching specialized Chin-su food lines in key overseas markets, including North America, Japan, South Korea, and Europe.
