Business
JUMBO Group Limited is a Singapore-based food and beverage company that operates multi-dining restaurant concepts, food franchising networks, catering services, and packaged food product distribution. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates across key Asian markets, including Singapore, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Cambodia. JUMBO Group Limited functions primarily through four core business segments: Restaurant Operations, Franchising and Licensing, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Others, serving retail diners, business clientele, tourists, and event organizers. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of culinary brands and food products organized into several operational categories: Full-Service Seafood and Premium Dining, encompassing flagship brand JUMBO Seafood, which is renowned for signature Singapore-style live seafood preparations such as chilli crab, black pepper crab, and salted egg prawns, as well as premium dining concept JUMBO Signatures and halal-certified seafood dining concept Mutiara Seafood; Heritage and Traditional Chinese Cuisine, comprising Zui Teochew Cuisine concepts (including Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine and Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine) specializing in authentic Teochew dishes, Chao Ting offering Teochew-style pao fan, and NG AH SIO Bak Kut Teh serving traditional peppery pork rib soup; Casual Dining and Quick-Service Concepts, including Kok Kee Wonton Noodle serving traditional noodle dishes and Singapore joint-venture operations of Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng brand Tsui Wah; Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Products, featuring branded retail merchandise under the Love, Afare label as well as packaged cooking pastes, premixes, sauces, spice packs, ready-to-cook meal kits, and gift sets distributed through restaurant outlets, supermarkets, travel retail channels, and the corporate e-commerce portal; and Food Services and Centralized Operations, providing event catering, corporate banquet management, customized menu planning, as well as central kitchen food processing, recipe standardization, and supply chain logistics services. In recent developments, JUMBO Group Limited has pursued an asset-light regional expansion and operational consolidation strategy to strengthen supply chain resilience and capture new consumer market segments. In June 2026, subsidiary Jumbo F&B Services entered into a joint venture with China-based fast-food operator Laoxiangji Holdings to establish and operate Chinese quick-service restaurants under the Lausanjee brand in Singapore, with JUMBO holding a 49 percent equity interest. In July 2026, the group formed a strategic joint venture holding a 20 percent equity stake to accelerate the franchise development and footprint of the NG AH SIO Bak Kut Teh brand across Shanghai and greater mainland China. Concurrently, the group entered into an agreement with Boustead Industrial Fund to invest approximately 20 million Singapore dollars for a 30 percent stake in a special purpose vehicle managing its property at 26 Tai Seng Street, securing long-term operational stability for its central kitchen, training academy, and administrative headquarters. In addition, the company expanded its demographic reach through the introduction and growth of Mutiara Seafood, its dedicated halal-certified seafood concept, and executed an off-market equal access share buyback program to optimize its capital structure.
