Union Steel Holdings Limited is a Singapore-based investment holding company primarily engaged in the distribution and trading of steel and metal products, metals recycling, scaffolding and access solutions, and the provision of mechanical and industrial engineering services. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Singapore, the group operates across diversified industrial sectors, serving clients in the building and construction, marine and offshore, oil and gas, manufacturing, infrastructure, and automotive industries across Singapore, Malaysia, and other international markets. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services organized into four key operational divisions: the Metals Distribution segment, which involves the stockholding, trading, and distribution of steel and metal materials, including reinforcement steel bars, structural steel beams, mild steel plates, hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils, sheet piles, stainless steel products, hollow sections, steel pipes, and non-ferrous metal alloys; the Metals Recycling segment, which specializes in the collection, shearing, baling, processing, and trading of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, as well as industrial deconstruction and resource recovery services; the Scaffolding segment, which provides the supply, rental, design, erection, and dismantling of modular scaffolding systems, suspended platforms, formwork accessories, and access systems for marine, petrochemical, and construction projects; and the Engineering and Leasing segment, which offers mechanical engineering solutions, marine equipment maintenance, hydraulic system fabrication, the design, customization, and manufacturing of commercial vehicle bodies, tippers, and trailers, alongside the leasing and rental of heavy industrial machinery, material handling equipment, and commercial transport fleets. In recent developments, Union Steel Holdings Limited has pursued strategic diversification and operational expansion across its engineering and specialized service businesses. The group completed the acquisition of the Trans-Euro Group, expanding its footprint in land transport engineering, commercial vehicle body manufacturing, vehicle modification, and equipment leasing. In addition, the company has strengthened its engineering service capabilities across marine and offshore support sectors, scaled up its scaffolding and access solutions division to secure major infrastructure and industrial maintenance contracts, and invested in upgrading its recycling and processing yard infrastructure in Singapore to enhance operational efficiency and advance sustainable scrap processing initiatives.
