Business
Dätwyler Holding AG manufactures and supplies high-quality, system-critical elastomer components for the healthcare, transportation & electronics, general industry, and food & beverage sectors worldwide. The company offers advanced rubber components and closures for injectable drug delivery systems including prefilled syringes, vials, cartridges, blood collection systems, IV administration sets, and diagnostics; sealing solutions for electric vehicle powertrains, batteries, brakes, interiors, and safety systems in passenger cars; seals and components for electrical connectors in mobility, aerospace, and manufacturing; sealing components for oil and gas upstream systems, heavy machinery, power tools, process and water treatment; and aluminum sealing solutions for portioned food and beverages such as coffee capsules. Headquartered in Altdorf, Switzerland, with over 25 production sites across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia, sales in more than 100 countries, and approximately 7,500 employees, Dätwyler has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since 1986. In the Healthcare Solutions division, the company provides state-of-the-art elastomer formulations, coatings like NeoFlex plungers for biopharmaceuticals and GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, and processing technologies for pharmaceutical and biotech firms; serial production of components for leading GLP-1 medications commenced in early 2025. The Industrial Solutions division delivers customized sealing solutions leveraging core competencies in solution design, material expertise, and operational excellence to automotive suppliers, connector manufacturers, oil and gas companies, and food producers. Recent strategic developments include the launch of the ForwardNow transformation program in December 2024 to optimize the production network, enhance commercial excellence, streamline the portfolio, and establish a future-ready operating model, with measures already contributing to 2025 targets. In April 2025, the Industrial division reorganized by merging Mobility and Connectors into a new Transportation & Electronics unit with regional sales responsibilities and modular structure for improved synergies. The company plans to close its Vandalia, Ohio facility by September 2025, consolidating U.S. production into two sites to streamline operations and optimize the product portfolio; capacity expansions support new supply agreements in Food & Beverage, particularly for coffee capsules.
