Swisscom AG Swisscom AG operates as Switzerland's leading information and communication technology provider, delivering mobile telephony, fixed-line internet, digital television, and comprehensive IT and digital services to residential and business customers; its portfolio encompasses cloud computing, outsourcing, workplace management, IoT solutions, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, blockchain-based services, and fintech offerings for small and medium enterprises through its Swisscom Digital Business unit. The company serves residential customers with postpaid mobile plans, high-speed fibre broadband, and TV packages under the primary Swisscom brand as well as secondary brands like Wingo, Coop Mobile, and M-Budget; business customers receive tailored ICT solutions including SAP implementations, office networking, mobile workforce tools, and industry-specific applications for sectors such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and retail. Through its subsidiary Fastweb, Swisscom holds a strong number-two position in Italy's telecommunications market, providing similar mobile, broadband, video-on-demand, voice, and data services to both consumer and enterprise segments; Swisscom Wholesale supplies voice, data, and broadband products to other operators in Switzerland and Italy. Founded as a state-owned entity with roots tracing to 1852 and privatized into its current form in 1998, Swisscom maintains headquarters in Ittigen near Bern, Switzerland, with primary operations in Switzerland and Italy; the Swiss Confederation owns 51% of the company, generating the majority of revenue domestically while expanding internationally. Swisscom recently completed its 8 billion euro acquisition of Vodafone Italia at the end of 2024, merging it with Fastweb to create Fastweb + Vodafone and boosting group revenue by 39.3% to CHF 3,759 million in Q1 2025 amid ongoing integration that drives over 30 million mobile and broadband lines across both countries; the company advances network expansions with 53% optical fibre coverage and 86% 5G+ population coverage in Switzerland plus 52% FTTH and 78% 5G in Italy, alongside new consumer offerings like the 'We Are Family' discount and commitments to sustainability through the Joint Alliance for CSR initiative auditing 150,000 supply chain jobs in 2025.
