In 2025, its wholly-owned subsidiary secured exploration rights for coalbed methane in the Fazhong Block of Shanxi Province's Qinshui Basin for RMB 2.01 billion, covering 297.9 square kilometers over a five-year term to expand resource reserves and core business scale. The company also advances its new energy segment with large-capacity blade lithium battery production for commercial vehicles and energy storage systems, where production line construction began in 2024 and trial production commenced in early 2025. Formerly known as Taiyuan Coal Gasification Company Limited, it changed its name in May 2017 following a restructuring to focus on clean coalbed methane operations.
