Business
Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company (1304.SR) manufactures and sells steel products primarily to the construction, electrical, telecommunication, and renewable energy sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Riyadh, the company produces hot-rolled and cold-rolled hollow steel sections, steel sheets, welded tubes, pipes and hollow shapes from iron; steel reinforcement bars through its subsidiary Al Yamamah Company for Reinforcing Steel Bars, established in 2003; three-dimensional space frames and prefabricated steel structures for buildings, infrastructure, bridges, towers and industrial facilities; galvanized steel lighting and distribution poles including octagonal, conical and special designs, high masts; galvanized steel lattice towers for electrical transmission and distribution; overhead transmission line towers; and structures for solar power systems and wind energy systems. It operates production facilities in Jeddah, Dammam and Yanbu, with total annual capacity reaching up to 1,300,000 metric tons, and became publicly listed on the Saudi Tadawul exchange in 2016. Recent developments include securing a SAR 167.6 million ($44.7 million) contract in May 2025 from Trading & Development Partnership Company to supply steel towers for a 380 kV ultra-high-voltage transmission line project in Saudi Arabia's western region; signing two contracts worth SAR 207 million in October 2025 with Larsen & Toubro Saudi Arabia for additional steel supplies; launching a wind energy systems factory in Yanbu in 2025 to support Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives; and achieving profitability for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024, with net income of SAR 70.8 million versus prior-year losses of SAR 130.14 million, driven by lower sales costs, higher renewable energy sales volumes and reduced financing expenses.
