Business
Tombill Mines Limited is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused primarily on the acquisition, maintenance, exploration and evaluation of gold properties in the Geraldton and Beardmore regions of north-central Ontario. Founded in 1935 by Newmont Mining and prospectors Tom and Bill Johnson, the Company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol TBLL. Tombill’s principal assets comprise 74 mineral claims covering approximately 3,168 acres, including 57 wholly owned patented claims, three wholly owned patents with easements, nine wholly owned patented mineral rights and five leased claims. Its property portfolio includes the 58-claim Tombill Main Group, located adjacent to and down-plunge from Equinox Gold Corp.’s Greenstone Gold Mine and straddling the Trans-Canada Highway; the five-claim Ellis Group, located approximately four kilometres south of Geraldton; the six-claim Tombill Old Mine group, located approximately 10 kilometres west-southwest of Geraldton; and a five-claim lease in the Beardmore-Craskie region. The Company holds interests in two historical Geraldton-area mines: the Tombill Old Mine, which produced 68,737 ounces of gold at an average grade of 12.47 grams per tonne between 1938 and 1942 and in 1955, and the Talmora Mine, which produced 1,406 ounces of gold at 5.05 grams per tonne prior to its closure in 1948. Tombill’s activities include geological interpretation; exploration planning; technical studies; property maintenance; claim and lease administration; and the evaluation of prospective gold-bearing structures within the Geraldton greenstone belt. In June 2026, the Company completed a strategic investment and royalty transaction with Dynamo Metals, consisting of a non-brokered private placement generating C$579,011 and the sale of a 1% net smelter return royalty for C$250,000, for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately C$829,011. Dynamo acquired approximately 9.9% of Tombill’s common shares on a non-diluted post-closing basis and received participation rights in future equity financings, subject to specified ownership thresholds. Tombill intends to use the proceeds for working capital, property maintenance, exploration planning, technical and field work, transaction costs and other corporate purposes through 2028. Also in June 2026, the Company announced that it would adopt semi-annual financial reporting under applicable Canadian Securities Administrators and Ontario Securities Commission exemptions, discontinuing quarterly interim financial reporting beginning with the period ended July 31, 2026, in order to reduce compliance costs and redirect resources toward its exploration and strategic objectives.
