TE Connectivity plc functions as a global industrial technology leader, supplying a comprehensive array of connectivity and sensor solutions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific, and the Americas. The company develops essential products that facilitate the transmission of power, signal, and data to advance various next-generation applications. Effective for fiscal year 2025, the company operates through two primary reporting segments: Transportation Solutions and Industrial Solutions. The Transportation Solutions segment delivers advanced connectivity and sensor technologies for automotive systems, including body and chassis, infotainment, powertrain, safety, hybrid and electric mobility, as well as solutions for commercial transportation. The Industrial Solutions segment addresses diverse markets by providing terminals, connector systems, sensors, relays, heat shrink tubing, and wire and cable products for areas such as industrial automation, aerospace, defense, medical devices, energy, data centers, and the newly formed Automation and Connected Living businesses, which now integrate elements previously under Communications Solutions. This segment also offers components for factory automation, process control, robotics, and the rail industry. TE Connectivity generates revenue primarily through direct sales to manufacturers globally, serving customers in approximately 130 countries, and also leverages third-party distributors. The company emphasizes innovation, investing significantly in research and development to address key secular trends like electrification, advanced data connectivity, and artificial intelligence. Originally incorporated in 2000, the company completed a change of its jurisdiction of organization from Switzerland to Ireland around September 30, 2024.
