Trans-Lux Corporation (TNLX) designs, manufactures, sells, leases, and maintains multi-color, real-time data LED large-screen electronic information displays and fixed digit scoreboards for financial, sports, gaming, retail, transportation, healthcare, corporate, entertainment, and government markets worldwide. The company offers indoor and outdoor digital signage products including TLVision full-color video displays for alphanumeric data and HD video; Lobo outdoor direct view LED panel systems; data walls and tickers; Fair-Play branded fixed digit scoreboards, LED sports video displays, and basketball scorer's tables; turnkey installation and support services; and digital product lease and maintenance through two segments, Digital Product Sales and Digital Product Lease and Maintenance. It markets through direct sales representatives, independent dealers, distributors, and resellers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, South America, Africa, the Far East, and Australia, with manufacturing in St. Louis, Missouri; sales and service centers in Norwalk, Connecticut; New York; Atlanta; Chicago; Torrance, California; and Hazelwood, Missouri. Founded in 1920 by Percy Furber and headquartered in New York, New York, Trans-Lux operates as a subsidiary of Unilumin North America Inc., following significant 2019 investments from Unilumin and GAMCO Investors that raised $9.5 million in proceeds to strengthen working capital and support growth. In conjunction with these investments, the company restructured FairPlay Corporation as its dedicated sports scoring and equipment solutions business, rebranding all fixed digit scoreboards and LED sports displays under the Fair-Play name. Trans-Lux maintains subsidiaries including Fair-Play for sports solutions and continues innovation from its pioneering 1923 installation of the first automated stock ticker projection at the New York Stock Exchange.
