Business
Nihon Seiko Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells antimony products and atomized metal powders primarily in Japan; antimony trioxide and special treatment variants including masterbatches, wet type, and water dispersion type serve as flame-retardant additives for plastics and rubbers and as polyester polymerization catalysts; antimony trisulfide functions as a solid lubricant in brake pads; sodium antimonate acts as a flame-retardant additive for engineering plastics; antimony metal supports alloys and semiconductor raw materials; the company also produces metal sulfides such as tin sulfides and copper sulfides for solid lubricants and friction materials, alongside sales of complex flame-retardants and other metal powders. Through its subsidiary Nippon Atomized Metal Powders Corporation, Nihon Seiko supplies copper, silver, and precious metal powders for conductive pastes in electronic devices like MLCCs, inductors, and LTCCs; soft magnetic alloy powders for powder inductors in power supplies including DC-DC converters; and bronze and brass powders for motor and automotive bearings produced via proprietary water atomization technology. Founded in 1935 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with principal operations including the Nakase Refinery in Hyogo Prefecture, Osaka Sales Office, and subsidiaries in Chiba Prefecture and Shanghai, China, the company operates in the specialty chemicals and advanced materials segments targeting automotive, electronics, telecommunications, and industrial markets across Japan and select international regions. In recent developments, Nihon Seiko completed acquisition of full ownership of Nippon Atomized Metal Powders Corporation in 2008, established the Tsukuba Plant in Ibaraki in 2012, and reported consolidated net sales of 25,179 million yen for fiscal year 2025, reflecting ongoing focus on production enhancements and financial transparency through regular investor relations updates.
