Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) designs, manufactures, sells, leases, and services battery electric vehicles (BEVs), energy storage systems, and solar energy products worldwide. The company offers a portfolio of electric vehicles including Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Cybertruck, and Semi; energy solutions such as Powerwall for residential battery storage, Megapack for grid-scale applications, and solar panels and solar roof products; Full Self-Driving (FSD) software capabilities and over-the-air updates; as well as Supercharger networks, vehicle service, insurance, and related services. Tesla operates through automotive and energy generation and storage segments, with manufacturing facilities including Gigafactory Texas, Gigafactory Nevada, Gigafactory Shanghai, Gigafactory New York, and others across North America, Europe, and Asia. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company maintains a direct-to-consumer sales model and employs over 100,000 people. Recent developments include the launch of Robotaxi services in Austin in 2025, production of the 8 millionth vehicle, proposals for a 2025 CEO Performance Award with ambitious market cap and operational milestones such as 20 million vehicles delivered and $50 billion adjusted EBITDA, reinstatement of CEO Elon Musk's compensation package valued at $29 billion, and advancements in FSD technology for regions including the Middle East, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
