Business
Mineros S.A. (TSX: MSA; OTCQX: MNSAF; BVC: MINEROS) engages in the exploration, development, production, and sale of gold and silver in Central and South America. The company operates the Nechí Alluvial Property, an alluvial gold mining operation spanning 473 square kilometers in the Lower Cauca Region of Antioquia, northwestern Colombia, which has produced over 3.1 million ounces of gold between 1974 and 2023; the Hemco Property in Bonanza, Nicaragua, encompassing 2,270 hectares with two underground mines (Panama and Pioneer), an artisanal mining program (Bonanza Model) for ore purchase and processing, and associated hydroelectric power generation; and the La Pepa Project, an advanced exploration-stage gold asset with substantial mineral resources in Chile's Maricunga Gold Belt. Incorporated in 1974 and headquartered in Medellín, Colombia, Mineros S.A. maintains operations in Colombia, Nicaragua, and Chile, serving institutional investors and shareholders focused on precious metals exposure while emphasizing sustainable practices, community collaboration, and low-cost production. As of March 2025, the company operates as a subsidiary of Sun Valley Investments AG. In September 2025, Mineros completed the acquisition of the remaining 80% interest in the La Pepa Project from Pan American Silver Corp. for approximately US$40 million, securing 100% ownership and terminating the prior joint venture to advance this growth asset alongside the Porvenir Project in Nicaragua. Recent leadership changes in November 2025 included the appointment of Daniel Henao as President and CEO, succeeding David Londoño; Sergio Chavarria as Interim CFO effective January 2026; and new technical executives to support expansion, alongside board adjustments amid ownership structure evolutions. In October 2025, the company commenced trading on the OTCQX under the MNSAF ticker to enhance U.S. investor access.
